Five Points Antiques

The Five Points area of Raleigh is full of great little antique shops perfect for looking but not touching.  Especially for those of us who like to browse the unusual but admittedly cannot afford the $395 cloisonne lamp. The less-than-new eye candy is worth the lunch break drive for sure even if you can’t put a down payment on any merchandise.

Here is my latest iPhone dump, mostly of Posh – my favorite shop on that strip.

My parents have this chandelier in their house.

$300 for a hat box isn’t too bad right? Hmmm. It is the first time I’ve ever even noticed a hat box. But not today.

Posh even has a cool old lamp made from a converted antique olive oil can.

And an amazing bano by the way. Look at that wallpaper.

Here’s the silver etched fish tray I would buy for my cousin Jason if I had his name in the family Christmas drawing – and $220 laying around.

All the stores have my mirror crushes in stock.

And Posh (of course) has an amazing cloisonne lamp in the window for $395. I asked the owner if he had two, and when he said no I behaved as if that was the only reason I would not be purchasing it. So grown up, yet such a fibber.

It is beautiful, no?

That’s all for now, another unloading of phone pics from shopping trips. In other news, Chad’s working like a wild man and running millions of miles in his spare time to prepare for an upcoming marathon. I’ve chained myself to the sewing machine to get ready for this weekend’s booth at Holiday Market. I need you to come buy some pillows from me. For reals.
