Honeymoon at Home

You Might Not Realize

but Honeymoon at Home has some pretty snazzy gifts, that are perfect for Mom.

You have to pick up a gift anyways right? Why not order one from your favorite bloggy lady?

Not Your Grandma’s Oil Paintings

Here lately I am really enjoying the timeless class of oil paintings and similar prints. And you can find these guys all over the thrift stores for a steal.  You know I like that.

See how great they can be when used in a balanced way? Framed or unframed.

The traditional coastal scenes are pretty serene and do well to allow the brightly colored chairs and the light fixture to really take the center of the room.

The people in these paintings weird me out a little bit but the asymmetrical arrangement and oversized pup make up for the creepers.

Even in the kitchen!

Any unique items that can be collected over time and make your home something that is guaranteed interesting and warm gets high marks in my book. The history that vintage or vintage looking oil paintings  provide to a room will do just the trick and you may only need one or two.

Very recently I actually stumbled over a fantastic pair of bright floral prints that would look phenomenal in a feminine nursery, a guest room or in a super-cool grouping of seemingly unrelated items. You know what I mean. Antlers might also be involved.

Because we pretty much have no wall space and no feminine little nursery to put these - they are in the shop here, if you’d like them. Enjoy.

In Action

You can act like you don’t need want one.

Chad did and now look how well his has turned out.

Few things make me prouder than all of this.

More Chiang Mai

It might not be cowbell, but I still can’t get enough. It makes my day when clients ask for custom pillows, especially when they would like me to use F. Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon fabric. My lastest order was requested in the aquamarine colorway which is really striking and perfect for spring. We don’t have any in our house but it really is my favorite!

I’m thinking they are not going to be paired together in Lin’s home, but here are some shots of my latest completed order.

Do you suddenly feel the need for some new pillows? Check out the shop or shoot me an email at chadandamy@trianglehoneymoon.com. They are such and easy and affordable way to spruce things up! We also have trays made from this Chiang Mai fabric that are super snazzy.

Friends With Benefits

No creepy.

Interested? Well, this is just a “friend” ly reminder that Triangle Honeymoon does have a Facebook page.  176 of you already know this and we thank you for your interest.

For those of you who don’t “like” us or want to be friends with us on a Facebook level we’d urge you to reconsider if you’re at all interested in knowing even more of our random day to dayness.

Again, no creepy.

However, the added benefit to all of this purely plutonic suggestive language is that we I also offer updates and post sa-weet deals from Honeymoon at Home via Facebook. For example if you like us right now, you’ll see that there is one heck of a deal happening tomorrow morning only.

Need I say more?

I’m even considering signing up on the tweeter, as soon as I decide on a handle that isn’t already taken and/or lame. I’ll keep you updated.

Shhh…

Last night the females who weren’t eating guacamole and watching basketball in Durham, were found attending the Tre Bella Fashion Show at the Washington Duke.

In order to spread the word about the shop and try to get myself into heaven, I donated a little somethin somethin to the event’s silent auction to benefit Girls on the Run. If you’re not familiar with this organization you should check it out.

We donated a framed Durham Love print as well as a nice little package of Honeymoon at Home items including a Domino home decor book, a Chiang Mai tray, a set of Mine and Yours bar glasses and a pair of our heart shaped bling earrings.

Mucho bueno.

I hope it all sold for lots of monies.
