Great Legs
When I saw them I couldn’t pass up these chairs.
Besides the whole orangey pink, hard plastic-like upholstery these entire chairs are pretty great.
A friend of mine who is a Realtor with Urban Durham sent them my way after they were left behind in a home he was selling. So I got them for next to nothing. Thanks Brandon! Now all I have to do is gussy them up a bit.
There is good booth news coming up soon, so that’s just where these babies will be headed as soon as I can find the right upholstery fabric. Here are some thoughts as of 10:15 last night. Subject to change.
I’m feeling very floral today, obviously.
All prints from Lewis and Sheron.
Updated Wicker
Maybe you shouldn’t pass up those fugly wicker chairs on Craigslist from now on.
With a little time and black lacquer paint, they can look go from Golden Girls to Pussycat Dolls. Or something like that.
The good news for you is that I bought these ladies as a project and now I need to unload them on someone else. So if you like them shoot us a message. They are posted in the shop here, and also on Craigslist too.
You could of course change out the cushion for any color or style that suits your decor and I will include two custom cushions in the price of the chairs. For all you sewers out there I’m writing up the details on how to make a cushion cover yourself - so look for that on our DIY page soon.
The Rihanna of Chairs
Not the little yellow one from yesterday – those big Golden Girl looking one’s I bought months ago.
They’ve turned over a new leaf and are looking much less Betty White now.
They’ve become the Rihanna of wicker chairs – kinda dark, super slick and not fully dressed.
Talks with the slipcovers are ongoing. I expect we’ll reach a deal before my end of January deadline.
Here’s another sneak peek of what they look like.
