Feeling Inspired

Human Again

That’s the name of Ingrid Michaelson’s newest CD which I totally impulse bought at Whole Foods last night.  From the five or so songs that I was able to enjoy on my drive home, it’s a pretty delightful little CD. Plus, I dig her glasses.

Also of note, is the artwork of Joe Sorren found on the front cover. It was perfectly sweet and just the image of what I would love to be doing this weekend. Camping with my little guitar. Only Chad would be playing the guitar instead of me and the black cat would be swapped out for a little black dog + one. Okay, so it isn’t exactly my life but it’s pretty whimsical regardless.

Were I to purchase this print and hang it in my house, here are the things I would pair it with.

So I got a bit carried away.

Artwork, Bed, Rug, Light Fixture, Chairs, Yellow Pillows, Teal Pillows

What will you guys be doing this weekend? Anyone playing a teeny guitar in a tree?

Darn Patriotic

That’s how this room makes me feel.

And it was redesigned on a budget which we both always love.

Fiddling Around

In my usual 4 years behind the times, I have now decided that we N-E-E-D, need, a fiddle leaf fig tree in our home.

I’ve discovered that you can buy them via Amazon, but I will feel silly if I don’t at least try locally first.  All I know right now is they grow pretty fast, might kill a cat, and shouldn’t cost me a million dollars. Sounds pretty good to a girl without cats.

Wish me luck.

Animal Magnetism

Things I’m being drawn to today.

Wool Zebra Rug, Foo Dog Lamps (or via e-mail from us!), Animal Head Wall Decor, Bee Earrings and Whale Earrings, Navy Bird Dress

Anyone else holed up in the house tonight? This weather is like WOAH.

Homemade Goodness and Sweet Leaf Tea

This post is only slightly sponsored in that the folks at Sweet Leaf Tea asked us to write about this – and we said yes. However, no dollar bills exchanged hands. Just a disclaimer.

We love Sweet Leaf Tea. It comes from Texas just like one of us. You can read all about its tasty goodness right here. Heck, we even included bottles of it in the gift bags for our out of town guests at our wedding almost three years ago in order to get our friends hooked too. So promoting this was an easy ask.

The Texan loves the honey mint flavor and I love the half and half lemonade – and I love the fact that they are hosting a crafting contest! Horrible segway, I know. But you should ignore that fact and still check out the contest on Facebook.

Basically you submit photos of your craftiest, which can be Sweet Leaf related or not at all. They are accepting entries until Monday, March 19th. The craftiest of Sweet Tea fans will win themselves extreme bragging rights and $100 from Hobby Lobby.

These are the kinds of contests that we really love. Nothing too crazy or insane, just a little way to showcase your talents, embrace a creative community online and then offer a small token of appreciation to the winner to help them keep doing what they do. It’s very simple and it’s very Sweet Leaf.

So go forth, be crafty, and drink tea.

Rainbow Dining Rooms

We love our wicker – but look at these.

How much fun are they? I expect the hubs would veto.
