Barton + Lucy
Our four-legged friends help keep things interesting around this place. Here are some of our favorite pics of our little lady-killer and man-eater.
Barton is a 5 year-old pound puppy who has acted like an old man for the past 3 of those years. His black beard makes him look so distinguished that Amy wanted to name him Henry, but that was objected to. Instead, he’s named for a super-fun swimming hole in Texas called Barton Springs.
Lucy is 3 years old and we rescued her from a Springer Spaniel Rescue organization right after Hurricane Ike came through Houston. There were lots of pets on the loose around town without homes. She was found running through a field, and never claimed while in her foster home – so we scooped her up as soon as she was ready for adoption, and quickly changed her name from “Mouse” to “Lucy”.
