Scarf Swapping Par-tay
This past Saturday we (Lucy and I) kicked out the boys and hosted a little Scarf Swapping party at the casa. And it works exactly how it sounds. I invited over a handful of gal pals (yes I just typed that) for wine and snacks and told them to bring a new or gently used scarf to try-on and trade with friends.
The whole thing only took about two hours to have and only about thirty minutes to set up for not including the run to the grocery store where I purchased the following:
- Crackers and Wheat Thins
- Grapes
- Salted Almonds
- Hard Salami
- Smoked Gouda
- Cream Cheese Iced Brownies
- Olives
- Artichoke Hearts
- Hummus
There is also some cream cheese and peach preserves in that photo that I didn’t use. But you get the idea. These little tasties made for a great afternoon snack, paired with a couple of bottles of wine that we already had on hand from past house guests and dinners.
The scarves were hung by the chimney with care, next to a big ‘ol mirror from the guest bedroom.
Everyone just drew a number to determine the scarf picking order, kind of like we talked about in our Durham Magazine post on Tuesday.
The most important part was…
Well, the brownies and adding scarves into my decor which was basically grocery store flowers and a lot of fall-ish accessories we already had around the house.
P.S. this tortoise looking glass vase can totally be yours if you visit our shop here. Just sayin’
A good time was had by all, especially me since I had another excuse to make a home video and wave at myself in a bathroom mirror. Enjoy!
