Let Us See That Tootsie Roll
There’s a new and tasty centerpiece in Whited town.
We loved our previous set-up of branches and floral candles, check that out here, but with Halloween quickly approaching we had to make room for Laffy Taffy, Kit Kat and of course Tootsie Rolls (courtesy of the Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas More).
The serving pieces were all on hand to put this together, the ceramic platter and champagne bucket were wedding gifts from Pottery Barn and the julep cup was picked up while in Charleston this summer. The pine cones came from our front lawn and we picked up the sunflowers at the grocery store for $3.00.
One fun addition were the two black birds, which were scored at Pottery Barn for $2.20 each. We wrapped their little wired feet around Tootsie Rolls to keep them upright.
Now the real challenge comes in making all this sugary goodness last until our trick-or-treaters get here. While we test our self-control we leave you to enjoy this throw back video. Thank you 69 Boyz.

“I don’t know what you’ve been told, it’s not the butterfly, it’s the tootsee roll.”
Thank you so much for sharing. That song is going to be stuck in my head ALL day! But good luck on the self-control, I’ve made a point not to buy our candy yet just knowing my weaknesses!
